UPTU Result Delayed for 2-3 Month
Uttar Pardesh Technical University or popularly known as UPTU is again in news for bad reasons. UPTU which is famous for delaying date-sheets and results, is playing with the future of over 4 lakh students. There is a news circulating that this time UPTU result will be delayed by a month or so and will be declared in the month of April-May.
According to famous local Hindi Newspaper, the process of evaluation has still not started. As per UPTU rule, usually evaluation starts during the exams or after 2-3 days of the final exam. For checking, copies used to be transferred from the nodal center to the Lucknow office and from there it would be sent to the respective teachers for evaluation. However, this time the copies are still there at the nodal center which is IEC, Greater Noida. Even the coding of the exam sheets has not started yet. UPTU exams ended on 17th January and even the copies are not transferred yet. Apart from that, next semester has already started and now teachers will have to work very hard as they will have to cope up both with teaching and evaluating.
There are many reasons behind this delay. The internal politics is to be blamed behind this delay of UPTU result. Recently we heard a news that UPTU teachers and staff went for a strike and were against the working procedure of Vice chancellor. Another reason is the dispute between Vice Chancellor (VC) and Additional Controller of Exam(ACOE). According to sources, VC has fired the ACOE, Vikram Singh Yadav which was questioned by many staff members. Things got worse when Vikram Singh Yadav wrote a letter to the state government challenging the decision of his removal.
